Being Unemployed around the Holidays

The holidays are difficult. With travel, family, cooking, gifts, and the general logistics of the holidays, stress is at an all time high. For unemployed people it can be a tricky situation to navigate due to the number of questions, comments, and concerns you may get from friends and family. After fielding these questions for 5 months I can assure you it's mostly from the good of people's hearts. For people that have not been unemployed for an extended period of time it's difficult for them to understand what it's like to not have a job. As we embark on another holiday season I'm going to "block" most of it out and focus on what I can control.
