#013 - Starting a side project

In search of my next opportunity, I have been building a guessing game. In order to keep my software development skills sharp I figure building a game or a side project is a good way to learn new skills as well. My goal is to work on it everyday. Everyday is a success if I improve the application.

If you have ever played wordle, globle, worldle, or a similar guessing game you know how fun and addicting they can be. The best part, in my opinion, is the fact that you can learn and have fun. My idea is to build a soccer guessing game. Similar to the guessing games I mentioned earlier, this game will be a guessing game based around soccer. To start a user will be guessing soccer club crests instead of words or countries.

From now until the foreseeable future I will be writing about what it's like to build a game. I don't really intend for this to become a business or even make money, but you never know what could happen. The worst case scenario is that I learn some new skills and add something to my portfolio. The best case is unknown, but let's find out together!
