#046 - Surrounding yourself with people that will challenge you
When I run my ideas by people, I like getting grilled. I want them to ask tough questions so I can refine and iterate quickly. Ideally, I’d like to continue doing this daily, especially at the start of building a business. As much as I think I know, there's a good chance I might be in the midst of the Dunning-Kruger effect. I’ve learned a lot in just a few short weeks, but it's only enough to get started. Once started, that's when the real learning begins.
Most of today was spent talking with a former coworker who asked a lot of questions that fell into two categories. First, questions I knew the answers to, but struggled to explain in layman’s terms. Second, and perhaps more importantly, questions I hadn’t even thought to ask. That’s where learning and iteration thrive. Overall, a good day.
