#048 - How to sell

Selling is necessary skill when starting a business. Your entire business is selling something to people and them giving you money for it. You are not only selling a product, but you are selling your brand, yourself, and the company. This will be a new skill to acquire for me, since most of my working life so far has been behind a computer screen.

A little more on the business I am starting. It is a kegerator vending machine. You may have seen them are breweries or "barcades" in recent years. They look like beer taps attached to a mini-fridge. While perusing BizBuySell I stumbled across someone selling a route (a series of machines located in a certain area) of these machines near me. This enticed me because they weren't regular vending machines that might sell snacks or soda, but they vended cold brew and kombucha. It seemed like something you might see in a luxury apartment building or a startup office space.

I liked the idea and got in contact with the company that makes the machines to learn more. They had a startup-y vibe that I like so I was intrigued. There's a lot I've learned from there and will be sharing that over the coming posts. Onward!
