The Unemployment
I’ve been unemployed for 4.5 months—or 143 days, 3,449 hours, 205,480 minutes, or 12,328,853 seconds—but who’s counting?
It’s been both an anxious and fun time. I’ve had the chance to enjoy life without the stresses of a 9-to-5 job. I’ve traveled, spent quality time with my wife and dog, and written this blog pretty consistently—a fact I’m proud of. I’ve explored starting a few businesses and even helped redo a house with my family. Looking back, it’s safe to say that 4.5 months flew by.
Now, it’s time for the next chapter. I’ll be starting a series on this blog about unemployment. The focus will be on interviewing people who have been, or currently are, unemployed. As always, the goal is to learn something new. This time, the spotlight will be on others, rather than me rambling about Stoicism.
Some of the key topics I hope to explore include people’s experiences, how they cope and build resilience, the growth they’ve experienced, and the insights they’ve gained.
Stay tuned!
